Empty at JU Fitness is never good. Well on a day like today I am not a fan of winter weather. I can take on about any kind of weather and I was planning on running today; however, when freezing rain hurts your face just walking, running probably is not a good idea. I had the best of intentions trying to have classes today at JU, but mother nature is not giving up. So no school, no workouts, and at home with the kids.

One of my favorite things to do is work out either with the kids or while my kids are around. For your kids to see you workout is a beautiful thing and almost always they will join in or do their own creative workout. Showing your kids that your own health and wellness is a priority sets the example early in life for them to continue to take care of themselves. As you can see in the workout provided I had a blast with my kids and dog doing this workout.

It’s a simple at-home workout with no equipment needed, in just 13 minutes my heart rate was up to 130bpm and I burned about 70 calories. This will differ for everyone, I’m always on the low side of calorie burn compared to my clients, this is due to how active I am with running, swimming and biking. I guarantee you will get a great workout, I suggest going through the workout 2 or 3 times to get a better burn. Do each exercise for 30 seconds with a 10-second break between.
